Black and white copy of a notice pinned up in the STC staff recreational facilities box wagon in June 2000. One word has been covered over on the third bullet point down as the accusation was put into the hands of a solicitor along with an article published in "Sandtoft Scene" the STC members publication. The matter of this poster was brought to the attention of the Board of Directors of the Sandtoft Transport Centre Ltd by another member of the Board (who is still a member of the SMR) and this notice was duly removed from the museum's staff notice board
I find it interesting the fact that these "party throwers" could not think of anything else to add to the empty bullet point that could kick me, my family and the SMR members in the teeth any further. These accusations, the harassment, the personal loss of our time and money not just by the Ashton's will always be remembered. A lesson learnt to us and I hope others at just how nasty and back stabbing people can be in the transport preservation fraternity and the consequential devastating results.
